When we got involved promoting Southwest Airways weekly charter service from Oxford to Jersey during the summer of 2009, we couldn't have dreamed how popular this programme would turn out to be. Genuinely, it couldn't be easier. The arrangements at the airport went like a dream every week, so everyone's holiday got off to a great start.
Once on Jersey, the beauty of the island and the hospitality of a wonderful selection of hotels captivated our clients, so much so that many have already rebooked for 2010 or recommended the holidays to their friends. Due to the unprecedented demand for the holidays in 2009, we have extended the operating season for 2010, so the first outbound flight to Jersey will be on Saturday 22nd May, and the last return will be on 11st September.
If you want to be in Jersey for the world-famous Battle of Flowers on 13th August, or be part of the excitement of their annual airshow on 8th September, it's essential that you book early, as the flights covering these dates are already selling fast.

The next destinations to be served by flights from Oxford Airport are likely to be Edinburgh and Newcastle. The Airport is currently in discussion with a number of potential partners for these flights, with the aim to start services some time in May. More details should be available soon.
The Airport is looking at Edinburgh and Newcastle because of their popularity for leisure and business travellers from this area. Both cities offer wonderful opportunities for weekend breaks, or as the starting point for longer holidays investigating the delights of Scotland and the North-East of England. Of course, if you just require overnight accommodation whilst you are in either city, we can organise this as well, along with private transfers to your hotel or the city centres.
If you are interested in travelling to Edinburgh for the world-famous Military Tatoo or the Edinburgh Festival and Fringe (6th August – 30th August), please contact us as soon as possible, as early booking of accommodation and tickets is essential. Once the flight services are confirmed, we can add these to your booking. If the flights from Oxford do not coincide with your plans for any reason, we can organise alternatives for you using the shuttle services from either Heathrow or Birmingham as alternatives.
