The Exotic and Further Afield
It goes without saying - the world is a big place. For people like us, this means that we are never short of places that we can recommend to our clients, dependent upon their particular interests, budget and taste for adventure.
Of course, there are the familiar destinations of places like Canada, which give you stunning scenery and diverse cities from the West Coast magic of Vancouver, through Calgary and Edmonton on to Toronto and the very particular French character of Montreal and Quebec. Due to its size, Canada truly is a place for 'trains, planes and automobiles' and there is a place in every itinerary for all 3 modes of transport.
Other destinations which have a wide appeal for their variety include South Africa, along with its neighbour Namibia. For most people, these countries are primarily associated with safaris, however, there is much more to both than that - with amazing sights and sounds and, of course, their own unique histories.
It's been shown that the first choice holiday destination for jackpot winners on the National Lottery is Australia and this vast continent-country is high on most people's lists of "I've always dreamed of going to..." holidays. The great thing about Australia is that when you get there, it really does look like its postcards and never disappoints...The icons of Sydney - the Harbour Bridge, the Opera House - and Uluru (the aborginal name for Ayers Rock) DO really look just as you imagine that they will, and no matter how often you see them, they will take your breath away every time !
The really great thing about Australia is that you don't have to have won the lottery to go there and have a fantastic time. Naturally, the higher your budget, the more you can do, but even if you are travelling on a budget, we can put together a range of great value itineraries for you taking in just a small portion of what this incredible country has to offer.
A number of the Great Experience Travel Team have been fortunate enough to spend a lot of time in Australia, and its Antipodean neighbour, New Zealand, so they can talk with the confidence of first hand experience of what you should see and do on your trip.
There are many other wonderful destinations - in Asia, Africa and especially in South America. All have their own particular attractions dependent upon your interests. At times, we will recommend that you look at travelling on some sort of escorted tour - either on a private basis or as part of a small group (particularly appropriate for China, Vietnam, Cambodia and the Indian sub-continent.) There are other times, notably in South America, where we would recommend that you are independent for some parts of your itinerary, for example, visiting cities such as Lima, Buenos Aires or Rio, but you join up with organised groups when visiting some of the more inaccessible areas, such as Cuzco/Machu Pichu, the Amazon Rainforests or the high peaks of the Andes. There are other places, such as Japan, which many people think of only as a destination to visit with a group, when it is really easy for you to travel and explore on your own - even with no knowledge of the language. There are other places, for example, Antarctica, which you can only explore as part of a group tour - but you see so much more as a result.
Please come and see us with your "I've always dreamed of going to..." ideas and we'll be pleased to help. Alternatively, just tell us the sort of things that you like and don't like, and we'll find the ideal place for you to visit, so your dreams can come true.
